I came here with my best friend one Sunday afternoon and I know we will be back many many times! The Viking Burger is a must!! It's easily one of the best burgers I've ever had in NC. And although I couldn't imagine anything else on the menu being better than the Viking Burger, the Browned Butter Cake we had for dessert was out of this world...
Norse brewing company prides itself on its three pillars of Beer, Food, and Family, all of which were exemplified during our visit. Their food is a unique mix of American/Scandinavian flavors, their dining area feels reminiscent of the Great Hall of Valhalla, and their brewing process is an art in itself...
Norse is excellent and a welcome addition to downtown WaFo. Food is excellent, service is excellent, and the beer is good. Lots of seating, and the outdoor seating is too notch. They also allow pets which is awesome. Definitely recommend.
Had the black lager and eric the red (ale). Both awesome. Nordic theme restraiunt and brew black lager had slight black currant flavor. Viking burger is great came out cooked a perfect medium. Service was great. Dog friendly patio. This will be a must stop when in wake forest.
Last evening was the first time that we have went to Norse. The beer was excellent, the food was very good, and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant for an excellent meal and camaraderie
Friends and neighbors for over 20 years, our story started when Brad brought over a couple of six-packs of Chris' favorite Bourbon Barrel Aged Tavern Ale one Saturday afternoon on a beautiful sunny summer day. They quickly made sure the beer didn't get warm and soon had to find another beverage to stay hydrated, bourbon seemed like a logical choice so Chris went to get some ice and a bottle of Basil Hayden. Ribeye's and potatoes went on the grill and by the time Jenni and Lynn joined at 10 o'clock the steaks were gone and a second bottle of Basil Hayden had been opened. By 2 am all the bourbon and a few bottles of wine gone, we had solved all the world’s problems and Brad had suggested we started a brewery together. As they say, nothing exciting ever starts with a glass of milk and a salad!
Meet our Gnomes, they each have a story to tell based in history and folklore. Their story continues with our Norse Family and you will be a part of writing it with us
